AMAZING RESULTS

Just in case you are still not convinced, here is just a taste of what some extremely satisfied customers from around the world have said about The No Mystery Guide to Trumpet Mastery.

"Hi Greg, I have been playing for many years and that is the first book that has spelled out the absolute essentials of good trumpet playing and your playing is something that all trumpet players should start their day with. When and if there is a second book I would like a copy. Again, congratulations and all the best. Fred"

Hi,

While this quote gives the reader an appreciation for the power of Greg Spence's book: "Yamaha Music Australia is proud to endorse Dancing With The Stars trumpeter Greg Spence’s trumpet method book “The No Mystery Guide To Trumpet Mastery” as its No.1 trumpet method book of choice." (from Greg Spence's bio-notes, mysterytomastery.com); I found the real essence is '24/7 teacher', that's right, he's there with you and gives you insight and clarity of performance no matter what time of the day or night!!****!!! Yes, I'm an accomplished trumpeter of 68 years of age and have quite a library. But nothing else comes close enough to Vol. 1 in reaching the aspiring musician. Congratulations!

"I recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to improve on the trumpet, and especially those who have reached a 'plateau' as I did.  I have a fair deal of experience playing with orchestras, professional theater, big band (lead and section work). During the year I'm a full time music director.

I was lucky enough to study with some excellent and top notch players. But, like many, I reached a point where I didn't feel I was improving and started putting things under scrutiny. I wanted to have a concrete approach to playing that would give me consistency and that sizzling sound quality needed for commercial playing.

This book made me AWARE of how my body uses WIND in playing a wind instrument.  It's quite a revelation once you start supporting correctly and understanding how easy it is.  The awareness you will get from reading this book and listening to the CD, then learning how this relates to your own playing is quite fascinating.  So many players use tension when correct use of air is infinitely more effective, yet this requires some understanding and specific exercises to bring about correct breathing and support. Greg Spence's book provides just that.

Since I've used this book and applied its concepts my tone, consistency, range, articulation and flexibility have all improved very significantly. You can waste a lot of time in the practice room if you don't breathe and support correctly. And it takes some explanation as to what exactly correct breathing and support are.  I recommend this book 100%. If you really go through it and work on it, you're going to notice a huge difference. Stop playing day after day with limitations, inconsistency, poor tone, even lip pain. Everything really works beautifully once you harness the wind!
Best wishes"

G’day Greg, I am a comeback player at 55. I took a 28 yr break (that’s an awful lot of bars to count) and since picking up the trumpet again I’ve done a huge amount of research on the net to find the shortcut to be playing at least as well as what I was at 25 (hopefully a whole lot better). I printed literally reams of stuff on the best drills and exercises to get back into shape but in the month or so since I bought it, I have been sticking almost solely to your book and I have finally begun making substantial improvement (despite occasional attacks of the dreaded “double buzz” ).

Mystery to Mastery, to me, is the most logical, comprehensive approach to a "how to blow your horn PROPERLY" that I have seen so far. Thank you for the great work and I look forward to book 2, even though I haven’t mastered book 1 yet. Sincerely, Bob George

Congratulations on producing such a great package of book and CD (plus the optional equipment). It makes all the difference in the world being able to hear what an exercise is supposed to sound like. I have been accumulating every trumpet method I could lay my hands on for about 20 years and none of them make as much sense as yours. Virtually all of them have left me frustrated with my inability to progress with them. Although many of them attempt to put over the same concepts as you do, they have failed to communicate them to me. Perhaps if the authors were actually giving me a lesson in person they would make it clear but their books on their own just aren't enough. Kind regards, Tom.
